Fading Memories
Led the design and development of Fading Memories, a multi-sensory immersive installation that explores how memories fragment and distort over time through layered projections, organic materials, and interactive spatial design.
Role & Objective
- •Served as Project Lead and Lead Designer for Fading Memories, an immersive installation blending visual art and spatial design to examine the distortion of memories over time.
- •Aimed to create a multi-sensory experience that engages viewers emotionally and intellectually by visualizing how recollection alters and fragments memory.
- •Focused on translating abstract psychological concepts into a tangible, immersive environment.
Actions Taken
- •Designed and produced three synchronized video projections displayed on draped fabric sheets to generate layered, organically distorted visuals.
- •Created an enclosed spatial layout of suspended fabric panels that allows visitors to move through the space, altering their perspectives and experience of the visuals.
- •Utilized organic fabric forms to produce shifting, fluid surfaces that symbolize the instability and fluidity of memory.
- •Led collaboration with a team of artists, architectural designers, and video editors to integrate visual media and spatial design into a cohesive whole.
- •Developed an interactive spatial concept where audience movement directly influences the visual and emotional experience of the installation.
